Adjustable jaws, secure grip and housing protection for clean work in the workshop and at home.
Watch case opener pliers — safe opening of screw-down cases
Adjustable jaws to fit many diameters, non-slip grip and fine adjustment of the gap to avoid any scratches. Ideal on grooved screw-on bottoms.
To change batteries (quartz watches)
- Protect the case back and lugs (thin ribbon). Place the watch on a soft mat.
- Adjust the jaw spacing in the notches, tighten without forcing, then unscrew.
- Replace the battery with the identical reference (e.g. Renata 377), avoid touching the contacts.
- Check and lightly grease the seal if necessary, then screw it back on until it is firmly seated.
For automatic watches
- Opening for rotor control , dust removal, or fine adjustment (advance/retardation).
- Avoid pressing on the rotor or balance wheel; use a bulb syringe to blow out dust.
- Check the gasket and replace it if marked. A leak test is recommended after closing.
Compatibility & Settings
- Fits grooved screw- on bottoms of many brands.
- Adjustable jaw spacing to cover multiple case diameters.
- If the tool accepts interchangeable jaws , choose the shape that fits the notches.
Safety tips
- Keep the tool flat, never force on a blocked base (gentle heating is possible to expand the screw thread).
- Avoid contact with glass and horns; work on a stable surface.
- After reassembly, check the water resistance if the watch is intended to be submerged.
